I understand that the history of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender (LGBT) community is important for our organization because our diversity is what makes us different and strong. Additionally, I know that this program was an Executive Order 11246 from our president. Furthermore, some staff members felt that some of the materials presented were not appropriate according to their believes. I would like for you to assist me in responding to their concerns in order to continue to have a safe and friendly environment. I believe you have plenty of information to share and to inform our staff members of the LGBT history. Sharing such information may help them understand more about it. However, the AEP does fall under the umbrella of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The EEOC are set of laws that protect a protected group from been discriminated from jobs; therefore, the AEP was created to assist employers in promoting diversity and teach others about the history of other cultures.
